Repairing Dometic RC1140, Danfoss BD, or Veco EC.E254412 refrigerator thermistor problems is now supported. These thermistors were used on Adler/Barbour, Grunert, Sea Frost, Technautics and many other refrigerator control board systems, such as many 1990's vintage VW Eurovans and typical Dometic RC1140 RV/van manufacturer installed refrigerators. We still support your vintage and obsolete thermistor units. If you don't see your unit listed here please feel free to contact us for us to verify compatibility for your units. The Articca''Snip the Tip'' product means you cut off the old thermistor in the refrigerator cabin and re-wire on this new thermostat. The kit includes both the thermistor and wire nuts.
This thermostat takes less than five minutes to install. FIRST MAKE SURE TO DISCONNECT ALL POWER and power off the fridge (including shoreline and car battery), then basically just cutoff old tip closest to the tip. Then strip and wire connect the new thermistor with provided wire nuts. For information of license terms and conditions, see Eula (below) for further details.
